Payment Methods for Students or Donors

The training program is specifically tailored to cross-cultural church planting and is normally mandatory for all persons planning to become employees of Ethnos Canada, Ethnos360 (U.S.A.) or any of the other international organizations which are signatories to the Global Ministry Agreement. That is why the training program is considered employment related. Consequently, only contributions made to offset the cost of tuition are eligible for official receipts for Canadian income-tax purposes. No receipts will be given for contributions made towards the cost of rent.

Note: Student accounts are created the week before Orientation, and payments to tuition (tax-deductible) and/or rent (non-tax-deductible) can only begin at that point. These accounts are only for program charges and donations and cannot be used to hold funds like a bank account. Student accounts are closed after graduation once all charges are paid.

Students

  • Cheque – make payable to Ethnos Canada with your student account name in the Memo section, indicating if it is for the tuition or rent
  • Cash – inform the receptionist if this will be for your tuition or your rent
  • Credit/Debit – the transaction fees associated with this method will be billed to your account

Donors

  • Cheque – make payable to Ethnos Canada with the student account name in the Memo section, indicating if it is for the tuition (tax-deductible) or rent (non-tax-deductible)
  • Cash – inform the receptionist of the student account name it should be deposited into, and if it is for tuition (tax-deductible) or rent (non-tax-deductible)
  • Credit/Debit – the transaction fees associated with this method will be deducted from the donation
  •   If donors wish to make payments or contributions monthly, they might consider
  • arranging for automatic pre-authorized bank account debit (“PAD”) with Ethnos Canada’s reception desk. Information and forms are available upon request. 519.369.2622 ext 0
  • eTransfers from your bank account can also be arranged with finance@ethnos.ca
  • US Donors are not able to receive tax-deductible receipts so they may choose to still give through Ethnos360 or send the gift directly to the student through whatever means is easiest for the student and donor.
